Täbï Yösha drops wistful single Outta Sight before releasing her new EP Pink Moon this Friday

Täbï Yösha delivers a smoky, deeply felt performance on Outta Sight, a song about the pain of not being truly seen in a relationship. This introspective track, which premiered on CBC’s The Block, is the final single from her new EP Pink Moon, due out June 5th via Bonsound. The Montreal-based singer will celebrate the release of her second effort with a launch party at L’Idéal on June 11th, where she will perform some of her new tracks.

Pre-save Pink Moon

Outta Sight captures the silent struggle of existing in someone else’s gaze without ever truly finding one’s place in it. For Täbï, it’s similar to being a trophy wife: she may shine, yet within the relationship she remains invisible, reduced to what she represents rather than who she is. In just a few notes, the singer evokes the suffocating feeling that arises when one is pushed to the background of their own story. Contemplative and bittersweet, the singer searches for hope amid the gloom. Tell me when life will be better / For me and you, sings Täbï as she awaits the promise of better days.

Listen to Outta Sight

The song was born from a moment of creative surrender in the studio, alongside her collaborators Max-Antoine Gendron and Jay Lavigne (SAENS). That day, I had no inspiration, she recalls. The guys just opened the mic and asked me to sing. So I simply freestyled a few verses. In that spontaneous moment, Täbï reconnected with her musical roots, pouring raw emotion into a performance where her voice, carried by a retro-tinged soul-pop production, shines and takes centre stage.

About Pink Moon

If Pink Moon were a chakra, it would be the heart chakra. With this EP, Täbï Yösha delivers an intimate body of work that unfolds like a ritual of transformation. I feel like I'm entering a new era. It's like I'm stepping into the world of grown-ups, explains Täbï. More grounded and self-assured, she reveals a new strength in both her writing and her voice, with a sound that feels more feminine and fully claimed. Through these songs, the artist explores the dynamics of passion, desire, and push-and-pull that shape modern relationships.

Pink Moon

Refusing to confine herself to a single genre, she moves freely between jazz, pop, and soul, switching from French to English with equal ease. This results in a rich, organic and accessible sonic universe where each track seems to echo the next one. The EP’s title is inspired by the Pink Moon, the full moon of early spring traditionally associated with renewal. Born under the sign of Taurus, the artist feels a deep connection to this season of transition, a moment when nature (much like the heart) slowly begins to move again. Conceived as a space of release, Pink Moon invites listeners to lay down what weighs on them and reopen the door to love. It’s a reminder that, despite the wounds, loving and being loved may still be the most courageous act of all.

About Täbï Yösha

Versatile and passionate, Täbï Yösha distinguishes herself with her rich and powerful voice. Following numerous collaborations with figures from the hip-hop and electro scenes, Täbï released True Colors, the first EP of her career via Bonsound in August 2023. Bearing witness to a period characterized by setbacks and heartbreak, this collection of emancipating tracks received a warm reception and established her as a rising R&B artist, landing her a spot on COMPLEX's list of 20 Canadian artists to watch as well as a mention in NPR’s 21 Days of Musica Latina: Haiti. This EP also earned her the title of Musical Revelation of the Year at the Gala Dynastie and a nomination in the Rising Star category at the GAMIQ. A few months later, Täbï showed her vocal prowess on the TV show Quel Talent!. Throughout many performances, she impressed both the judges and the public with her remarkable voice, ultimately reaching the semi-finals.

After three eventful years, Täbï Yösha returns with her second EP, Pink Moon, an effort that showcases her growth as a songwriter and vocalist. More than a mere collection of songs, this mini-album serves as a rite of passage for the up-and-coming R&B artist, who feels she has at last reached adulthood.
