Lisa LeBlanc returns with catchy new single Whole Lotta Talkin’

A few years after embracing the disco sound on the Polaris-shortlisted Chiac Disco, Lisa LeBlanc is back with a bang with Whole Lotta Talkin’, a cheerful rock number you’ll want to listen to over and over again.
Driven by an infectious surf rock guitar riff and a bright ‘60s-sounding organ à la B-52’s, Whole Lotta Talkin’ playfully recalls a situation we’ve all been in: being cornered by someone who just won’t shut up. This delightful new song also showcases the Acadian musician’s ability to switch effortlessly from French to English, and from disco to rock'n'roll, without ever compromising her artistic identity.
Listen to Whole Lotta Talkin'Directed by Alexandre Pelletier, the music video for Whole Lotta Talkin’ follows the touring adventures of a dysfunctional rock group made up of Lisa LeBlanc and her puppet bandmates. “I wanted to tell this funny, absurd story with the utmost seriousness, as if we were watching an ultra-dramatic musical biopic,” explains the director. Be warned: what starts off on a playful note ends with a double puppet murder.
Since the release of Chiac Disco in 2022, Lisa LeBlanc has performed over 140 shows across North America, Europe, and Japan; she has won a few Félix Awards, earned a Juno nomination, and been shortlisted for the prestigious Polaris Music Prize; she also teamed up with 63 classical musicians to record the album Live avec l'Orchestre symphonique de Québec, which came out in 2024.
Tomorrow, July 1st, Lisa will perform live from Moncton as part of a Canada Day concert broadcast on CBC and ICI Télé.

About Lisa LeBlanc
With her unique blend of roots, rock, disco, funk, and country music, Lisa LeBlanc has been an established Acadian icon since 2012. After achieving major success with her self-titled debut album, she decided to switch from French to English on Highways, Heartaches and Time Well Wasted (2014), as well as on Why You Wanna Leave Runaway Queen?, which made the Polaris Prize shortlist in 2017. These first three albums have sold over 140,000 copies.
Performing just as effortlessly in Caraquet as in Paris or Lafayette, Lisa and her musicians toured relentlessly over the next few years. She took a break from touring in 2019 to write and travel, and she also began exploring studio work, which led her to produce Le tour du Grand Bois, Édith Butler’s 25th album. This new creative path enabled the artist to broaden her musical horizons while using her talents, creativity and passion in the service of others.
A few years later, equipped with new music-production skills, Lisa returned with Chiac Disco (2022), a one-of-a-kind record that stages the unlikely encounter between glamour and rurality. Filled with glittery melodies, colourful lyrics, and breathtaking arrangements, the record is a salute to the memory of Lee Hazlewood and to the era of disco and funk. It received fabulous acclaim here and abroad, leading to over 140 shows across North America, Europe, and Japan. It also earned the Acadian artist a spot on the Polaris Music Prize short list for the second time and a Juno nomination. Since then, the musician's catalogue has racked up over 35 million streams on digital platforms.
Ready to enter the next chapter of her career, Lisa LeBlanc now unveils Whole Lotta Talkin’, a new single that marks her return to English lyrics.
