Claudia Bouvette unveils new single "Désalignées"

Claudia Bouvette returns today with her new single Désalignées. This follows the release of her irresistible pop song Amour écran, which reached number one on CBC Music’s Top 20. Her new track centers around a mirage of a love story, a vision you can see forming on the horizon but that ultimately evaporates.

Claudia called on her friends Sophia Bel and Soran to write this song (Soran also produced the track) about how the stars are not aligning, despite throwing everything at a relationship. The 80s-inspired synths blend with the singer’s ethereal voice in a dizzying, dreamlike production.

Directed by Henri Taillon, the video focuses on two protagonists who face off in a hostile landscape, evoking a relationship where nothing is in sync. There is tension, resistance, and confrontation, but these images suddenly give way to tenderness. This shift illustrates the paradox of love, where, despite the wounds and obvious signs of incompatibility, attachment sometimes compels us to stay, even when we know deep down that it isn’t the right decision.

Last year, Claudia Bouvette released the deluxe edition of her sophomore album DIARY FOR THE LONELY HEARTS. This edition includes four bonus tracks reimagined with the ensemble Strings from Paris, known for their contribution to the Bridgerton soundtrack, and whose arrangements propel Claudia’s music into a whole new sonic universe.

About Claudia Bouvette

Claudia Bouvette's message is one of empowerment and freedom to be oneself. Her work encourages openness and the courage to assert one's true self.

Since the release of her debut album, The Paradise Club (2022), Claudia Bouvette has performed at major festivals such as Osheaga, FEQ, and FestiVoix de Trois-Rivières, where she fulfilled a childhood dream of singing with Simple Plan. She also performed across Quebec and Ontario, notably opening for Ne-Yo and Sean Paul. She appeared on the cover of Elle Québec in 2022, and has made several television appearances as a performer, co-host, and actress since.

She followed up in 2024 with DIARY FOR THE LONELY HEARTS, a sophomore album she co-wrote with Soran, which reflects a creative approach imbued with fun, freedom, and serenity. Driven by the aesthetics of the early 2000s, Claudia Bouvette rekindles her early musical loves, delving into the creative spaces of No Doubt and Imogen Heap, without shying away from her electro and hip-hop influences. The singer offers her unique outlook on the pitfalls of love, pitfalls which transform into opportunities to become the best version of oneself.
